Ancient Wargaming has been a major feature in the Plymouth club for decades. This web site is for those who are interested in Ancient Wargaming in the Plymouth area. The current favoured set of rules is Field of Glory, a set published in February 2008. It has become the dominant ancient rule set in the country and is responsible for reviving ancient wargaming recently here in Plymouth. FoG therefore will be the focus of this web site but other rule sets also have many followers, evidenced in Slingshot, the journal of The Society of Ancients. If other rules come to prominence they too will be included here.

The club ran an ancients league for many years and it is now revived. Click on the league page.

We have been playing FoG in Plymouth now since before publication as some members of our club were playtesters. In 2009 we sent teams to Devizes and Pevensey. In 2010 two teams played at Clevedon in April and we usually compete at Attack in Devizes in July.

Two FoG competitions were held at PAW 2010 which was held in the Kitto Centre, February 6th/7th, Nineteen players in total.

On most Sundays 8 -12 players are to be seen playing FoG at the club. Many in league competition.
