Ancient Wargaming has been a major feature in the Plymouth club for decades. This web site is for those who are interested in Ancient Wargaming in the Plymouth area. The current favoured set of rules is Field of Glory, a set published in February 2008. It has become the dominant ancient rule set in the country and is responsible for reviving ancient wargaming recently here in Plymouth. FoG therefore will be the focus of this web site but other rule sets also have many followers, evidenced in Slingshot, the journal of The Society of Ancients. If other rules come to prominence, they too will be included here.
The club ran an ancients league for many years and it is now revived. Click on the league page.

We have been playing FoG in Plymouth now since before publication as some members of our club were playtesters.
We have four players now testing the beta for version 2. For more information look on the News page.
We often send teams to Clevedon and Pevensey and we usually compete at Attack in Devizes in July.
Two FoG competitions were held at PAW 2011 which was held in the Kitto Centre, February 5th/6th, Twenty players in total.
That was the third year of FoG at PAW following years of DBM. On most Sundays 6 -10 players play FoG at the club.
